Mason Nolen and I wrote this song when we were students at ETSU several years ago. The Highland Travelers' recorded it on their 2018 self-titled release. 

Smithhaven

I wrote this song about an actual place in Blountville, Tennessee called Smithhaven. It is a historical home currently owned by John “Canjo John” VanArsdall. It was the first track on the 2012 album Testing Tradition by the East Tennessee University Bluegrass Band.
